You'll need a few shields. He broke the Hylian Shield pretty easily. I couldn't believe it.

I've never played BoTW and I have the itch to play it. Given that they are the same price should I just get the new game?

It’s funny to me that people waffle over the price of a video game, especially one like this which gives easily 100 hours of playing time. Easily. The value of entertainment time for the money in video games is unquestionably the best entertainment value out there.

A 90 minute movie ticket costs $20. The sandwich you had for lunch today was probably about $12.

Buy the fkn game.

I’d get BOTW first tbh.

You shouldn’t be factoring the cost into this decision.

The question is - is it worth playing BoTW now that ToTK is out?

Thank you for your two unhelpful replies. Let's see if we can make it three.

If you’ve never played one, and will:

A) play both, then start with the first
B) play only one, then get the new one

If you’ve never played any of them before, should you plan to play both, or only one?

Reports here suggest they are very similar, on the same map.

Look, man, if you decide not to play BotW and then you can’t keep up when we talk about the Ritaag Zumo Shrine, that’s on you.

I suggest start with botw. The story is great and it won’t be so overwhelming with just the one map to deal with. Then when you get to TotK, there will be a little familiarity that i I’m glad i had when starting it

I’d go with whatever Dime says. He’s the one of us who played them back-to-back. My instinct would be to just get the new one. It’s so time-consuming.

I love Zelda, but there's no way I'd play BotW and TotK back-to-back. That's about 300+ hours. I'd get TotK simply because so many others are playing it at the moment. TotK is better than BotW too.

Thanks Hestu! Inventory slots maxed. It takes 421 Koruk Seeds.

I just dropped out and sold the switch and game today. I’m out.
It’s a headwreck of a game. It’s no fun.

Botw the best game I’ve ever played. This? Just a power up add on fuckfest and with no genuine fun or wonder to it.

Wasn’t for me but I hope you all still enjoy it
