Show me your soul is good too. Knock Me Down is one of those songs that sounds better in my head, always a little disappointed at the actual song.
Under the Bridge is obviously played to death but it’s one of my favorite JF parts

Sikamikanico is prob their best b side, although I can’t listen to it without thinking about the Super Rope dispenser in Garth’s car

It true that we are burnt with Under The Bridge, Californication or Otherside because otherwise those are great songs.

Otherside never gets old for me. It's Frusciante's backing vocals. Total earworm.

I give this band a lot of shit but I do like some of their songs, like "Parallel Universe." The verses sound kind of like a Cure song (the driving beat and the bass make me think of "Disintegration") and then the chorus is a big freak-out. It has none of the elements that annoy me about them. Solid song

Yeah, that's a good one. People love to shit on the production on Californication but I don't hear anything overly wrong with it. Suits the songs fine.Jorge wrote:I give this band a lot of shit but I do like some of their songs, like "Parallel Universe."

I love Gong Li, but I kind of wish they made two separate songs out of it. Those instrumental sections are the best part and I would have loved to hear them just stick with that and build something epic out of that riff.

by the way, Flea has a podcast and John and Anthony are guests there. Also Thundercat, Earl Sweatshirt...pretty cool guests.
He was also featured on HBO's Painting with John.

Re: Behind The Sun: The Official RHCP Thread.
listened to Unlimited Love for the first time recently
great album
such good instrumentalists
and i never really gave A Keidis enough credit for his vocal style
he's a special guy
a great band
i kind of tuned out on them for years
people don't really play instruments anymore, but they do
if Pearl Jam made an album like this people would totally bug out
instead RHCP just rolls them off the line like it ain't no thang, apparently...

This is very enjoyable. These songs feel like they were tailor made to be video game music.Jorge wrote:
