the airbnb we booked for both shows just canceled on us because the property is getting sold. luckily, we found another place, but a couple of the hotels closest to the arena are booked.

never had an airbnb cancel on us like that before.

considering these 2 shows now... airfare is really cheap but lodging not too far isn't... i don't mind walking really but is it safe around there?

what about the buses, infrequent it seems but do they at least run somewhat later at night?

oh and if anyone has a spare please let me know ;)

Museum District, which is surrounded by major thoroughfares West 7th, University, Montgomery, as well as a gentrified neighborhood, is pretty safe so long as you stick to the main roads. Public transit is doable to get there but leaving may be dicey. https://ridetrinitymetro.org/routes-schedules/

If you don’t get an Uber at the arena, folks tend to walk towards The Dryce Hotel (south of the arena) or north towards 7th and get one there.

thank you, i guess public transit is not a good option then, I looked at the schedules and yeah, after 10:30 not much...i'll keep that in mind.
wish i could stay in the museum district, looks like there is plenty to do there on the day off, let's think about this more.

Eh. We’re probably better off and money-wise we’ll probably be about the same. We would’ve had to grab an Uber from the airport to wherever the car would be and that was an expense we hadn’t counted on. So now we’ll just hit up the rental car place at the airport and drive on out.

Probably want to sell as much as possible before the 'surprise' cancellation on Friday.
