Re: Binaural: Official Album Thread
I'm listening now and really don't see anything wrong with it. I like the droney, sitar-y sound, reminds me a bit of VU but with Vedder earnestness. The viola lurking in the background adds a nice hazy vibe. The melody is simple but pleasant. The lyrics are well-written and lack Ed's latter-day clunkiness. Yeah, this is good. Good song.

Re: Binaural: Official Album Thread
Totally. I remember playing the TBK2000 film for some indie/stoner-rock-snob friends of mine who hated Pearl Jam and when it got to the "drifting away" part of PW they had a bit of an epiphany. A total "woah" moment. That whole film changed their minds, at least for the time being LOL. They were big Soundgarden fans, and they were finally able to understand why Matt was playing with them.Strat wrote:2000 live versions are out of this world!

Re: Binaural: Official Album Thread
Parting Ways isn't "bad" per se. It's.... fine. It's the definition of meh and I think the album (as a whole) is better without it.
Habit is trash, though.

I'll take "Habit" over all of Gigaton. Yes, all of it!
