Re: Indiana Jones and the The Dial of Destiny
I don't mind aliens, but something about the time travel didn't work for me. Maybe it was just those particular scenes because the theory working up to it didn't bother me.

Yeah I think it would have to be kinda subtle. This was not subtle.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. Sad!
I'd probably say this is my third favorite Indy movie after Raiders and Last Crusade.
Jorge is going to be mad as hell about this post.

Re: Indiana Jones and the The Dial of Destiny
I'm seeing it Saturday. I'm kinda hopeful it will be decent.
There is this cabal of youtube channels that absolute hate everything with how LFL has been handled under Disney, and rail against other "woke" things. Their video titles are often hyperbolic and there is little substance within the actual video; just regurgitating from low-tier "articles" they find on the web. Standard click-bait fare.
Anyway, they've been blasting the hell out of this movie, I guess to get viewership down to prove that Disney sucks. But then in some of the comments people are like "this movie isn't that bad." etc.
So weird.

Will be shocked if this is better than Temple Of Doom.
