Looking forward to seeing this Deep Sea Diver band open these shows. Really underrated record in 2020 'Impossible Weight'.

What is the name of your band?

How did you get booked at the venue?

What time does your show start on Friday?

Wayside.

We used to gig in Minneapolis back in our early 20's (early 2000's). We were just kids but had a lot of fun playing shows around town. We had a group of friends who had bands to so our shows some times were really fun all playing togethera nd tons of people showing up. We werent that great by any means and didn't really know how to write songs, but we wrote enough and recorded to get gigs. We won a contest to play the local stage at the Warped Tour in St. Paul. We were out of place but that was cool. We parted ways as a band as everyone started getting married/having kids/moving for jobs. We're still the best of friends.

Me and the singer decided last year, while he was going through a divorce, and after a rough few years for me, to start writing music again. Turns out we are little bit older and more skilled, and technology had caught up where we could start writing from afar. With the help of trag (teaching me the ropes of recording, DAW, mixing etc), we have been writing a new album and we have a producer lined up to mix/master hopefully within the next couple months. The producer has put out a few documentaries and records (a couple with the pj guys), so pretty excited about that.

When PJ announced the show, and the break in between the nights, it just hit me that a perfect gig would be to entertain the jamily in town. I researched some local venues (as its been awhile since ive been back) and remembered the amsterdam bar has become a great venue in St. Paul. So, just took a shot and reached out to them. They held one of the wishlist gatherings in town last time and it went great so they wanted to do something similar. Guess they took a chance on us and lined us up with the other 90's rock cover band

I was hoping we could do this show as part record release/part pj tribute but for now we'll just rock some PJ songs and have some fun.

Show will start at 8 and that is when we go on.

Hope it goes well!

That's awesome. I got divorced three years ago, so I can totally identify with your friend. It's a game changer for sure.

My flight lands around 1 pm on Friday, so I will definitely be at your show with my GF. She has never seen PJ, so I am pumped to introduce her to a real rock concert (she's a country fan). So, if you know any Morgan Wallen songs...haha, just kidding.

That's awesome she decided to come with you! I have no doubt she'll at least "Get it", if not love it. At least that was my experience with my now wife.

Look forward to meeting you and the lady!

I took her to see The 1975 last Fall and she really liked that. She just loves live music, so all good.

Someone please record this show so those of us who can’t be there can at least jam along to it at a later date.

I'm happy to record a few songs on my phone, but my guess is that you are looking for a more professional touch.

We need someone there with a sign saying "PLAY I GOT SHIT FOR COACH!"

Edit: The sign is for the actual PJ concert. That pre-show sounds awesome though Strat - big ups to you for (a) getting back into your music and (b) having the balls to arrange the show. Keep on rockin' in the free world, man.
