One of my favorites:
On July 29, 1989, Henderson stole five bases against the Mariners' left-handed Randy Johnson, his career high, and one shy of the single-game major league record. Unusually, Henderson was hitless in the game (he had four walks).
Clearly resided inside Johnson's head.
And this is just silly:
Joe Posnanski of the Kansas City Star wrote:Rickey Henderson walked 796 times in his career LEADING OFF AN INNING.
His Wikipedia page is a great read, really enjoyed watching him (briefly) on the Mets.

Lots of chatter about that around here.

Immaculate Grid is now owned by Baseball Reference. I am sittin mg on 6/6 right now and I got absolutely nothing for the White Sox squares.

Seen some talking heads opine that the Angels should trade Ohtani for prospects and big leaguers and then just resign him in the offseason. LOL that will never work.

I was on the same flight as Vladdy Jr. yesterday. We were standing beside each other at baggage claim. I didn't want to bother him, but we did give each other a polite smile and nod.

Respect. I always think I’d be the same way, but never encountered an athlete, celebrity etc…

Maybe just a quick “Whaddup Vlad” along with the nod

I may have sheepishly muttered a "hey Vladdy", but for all intents and purposes, it was just a smile and nod.

I’m sitting on 8/8 this grid and simply cannot come up with a Phillies / Marlins player.

I need to research a list of the top ten players who have played for the most teams … the Rich Hills of the world … and commit that, specifically, to memory.

I am now keeping guys that end up being 2 percenters in my back pocket because I am worried they are not obscure enough.
