Is this supposed to sound like Sirens? It sounds more like Release.

Pretty trippy that one would mistake a sappy, sentimental ballad whose hook prominently features the phrase "Want you to know" for another sappy, sentimental ballad whose hook prominently features the phrase "Want you to know."

Oh wait, what I meant to write was :bammer:PEARRRRRRRRRRL JAMMMMMMMM! :bammer:

I just refreshed my memory on that OLP song ("Right Behind You"). I quite liked it, I remember liking it back in the day.

Prior to LB, I think I unconsciously had decided I probably wouldn't love another album from PJ. Wrigley was a let down, the new songs at that time sounded meh live. The whole summer I was really into the new National album (25 year old me would take me to town on that) thinking I don't think there is a chance PJ can make an album this good, or one that I am this into.

Well.....I was wrong. This album has relit my fire. I can't wait to hear the new songs in person. Watching some of the youtube vids confirmed that these songs will come alive in concert. I can't stop listening to these songs.

I understand everyone is not into it, and that's okay. I feel bad cause there are some great fans with interesting insight on here, but there are other albums or other bands. Enjoy your Saturday night everyone. :peace:

It's a date. I remember absolutely nothing about them except for my band thinking they sounded interesting and playing me a few songs.

Bob Rock is to OLP as BOB is to PJ

one of the best shows I saw was OLP in a small club. Raine was like an early Eddie Vedder jumping off balconies.

RIP OLP :peace:
