The actors will buckle once the media stops covering them. They need attention somehow.

This strike will affect my entertainment choices roughly 0.009365%

I’d be fine if no new content was ever released ever.

Unless the sportscasters and, more importantly the camera crews, quit.

Seems those are independent projects.
I get it and its actually kind of cool for SAG-AFTRA to understand that difference.

Drew is contractually obligated to make shows. Why she didn't say that is odd. I guess since she didn't have a writer to do her press statement she couldn't come up with that herself. Ditzy broad.

Aren't all of the actors that are on strike contractually obligated to make stuff?

She has deals with each affiliate (hundreds) that airs her show. If she doesn't make new episodes they will drop the show. If there are actors/writers that have a clause in their contract that says if they don't show up and produce something by a certain date they would be in the same boat I suppose but there doesn't seem to be any interest on the studios part in forcing anyone back to work. The opposite really this is their chance to clean house. Daytime syndication is a different animal. Local ABC in Nebraska doesn't have to keep the Drew Barrymore Show on cause the WGA says it has too or else they won't work with them anymore. That might (maybe) worry the Network ABC (Disney) but not the affiliates. Affiliates can just put on infomercials in Drew's slot. She makes new episodes or everyone loses their jobs.

WGA has reached a tentative agreement with studios.

That Office reboot is probably what AI spewed out for the studio execs while the writers were on strike.
