I got a nice sharp kitchen knife for my birthday.

Wow, it is great!

But then I cut a .25" x .25" part of my fingernail off while chopping an onion 2 nights ago. I think the fingernail just ran into the knife but it's just that sharp that BAM you're gone fingernail.

Very good! Much easier to use than whetstones, with some minor tradeoffs

If you want to sharpen your knives but don't want to get into the whole whetstone thing, these are a great choice

I got a knife set this year, they make that cartoonish metallic shwwing sound when I pick them up
