Re: Greta Gerwig’s BARBIE (2023)
I'm looking at that Ben Shapiro screen shot and I'm thinking about all the times I've been over the top complaining about a movie or TV show and I'm wondering is that me? I need to reevaluate my life.

I would love for you to be right. Same with Joe. Sounds like this thing is a real hoot.

Re: Greta Gerwig’s BARBIE (2023)
just came back from watching this one.
The best part of this evening was feeling this one was an event. I loved that. everyone was exited, everyone was wearing something pink. You could feel the overall joy of people going to see a movie. Kudos for the marketing department on that.
The movie itself...ugh, i kinda feel there was actually a great movie somewhere. Its swamp into a story that feels 30 minutes longer than it is. Not many jokes actually landed for me and the first half an hour felt embarrassing to say the least. The plot sometimes felt like ¨feminism and patriarchy for dummies¨ but i guess that this one is more for a 13 or 15 year old audience so thats ok.
Gosling is amazing tough, really its his movie. As much as Robbie tries (and she is a star) its all Gosling. And Cera.

If Dime and Joe team up to tell you something, you should probably just run away. Scam-tier shit.

Re: Greta Gerwig’s BARBIE (2023)
Not related to the movie, but my 6yr old wanted mummy to play Barbie with her this morning. Mummy asked why daddy can't play Barbie, and she said it was cause we don't have any Ken dolls, so my wife went out and bought a Ken doll, now Barbie knows how to prepare a sandwich, and knows to make sure she has a plausable reason why she was so late home last night.
Also - I don't think I'm allowed to play with Ken anymore

I don't have a horse in this race. I'm just picking the dodgy trainers and questionable jockeys.
