Actually I haven't seen the last 3 since they came out. No idea if they are still good or not.

Off topic.

This thread is not about movies we saw 35 years ago. It’s about a movie that’s about a movie we saw 35 years ago.

He's mostly known for all those sex movies in the 90s. I didn't like any of them.

I also thought he was in more movies, but I guess not.

BurtReynolds wrote:It's fitting that he doesn't even get to make the choice for himself in the end of this tripe.

"I just want to let my life's passion kill me. Let me die here, surrounded by what I love most of all."

"No fuck you you have to return to society. You can settle for that woman you're always breaking up with and apparently can't stand to be around with for any length of time."

An ending that can only resonate with the spiritually dead!

Oh but let me guess, this isn't actually how it happened? Yeah yeah yeah. Read between the (poorly written) lines. You'll find that this is in fact exactly what happened.

Have some standards!

You good, Turd Ferguson? It’s just a movie that I enjoyed. I’m not a man of sophisticated standards. Wings is my favorite tv show. Pearl Jam is my favorite band.

I didn’t carefully choose the word womanizer. I take it to mean someone who just has casual relationships with women. It has negative societal connotations for sure, but I didn’t intend them. All I meant was after 3 movies, the character’s relationship with women was purely carnal. His real love was chasing history. I liked that single-mindedness about him, actually. It fit the character. The last two movies showed an older man who had seen some shit and really did value his relationship with Marion, and I like that, too.

Anyway, I won’t post in this thread anymore and make it worse. I need to see MI7 soon and fuck that thread up as well.
