Insidious: The Red Door.

Clearly the worst of the franchise. Kinda boring and not scary at all.

I was today old when it clicked for me that Isabelle Adjani was in both "Nosferatu the Vampyre" *and* "Possession" (through which I sat the entire time thinking "where have I seen her before?"); she's been in a lot of movies apparently, I wonder what to watch next

any thoughts?

I'm getting a little worried about overuse of CGI on Demeter, but if it's kickass in every other way I can forgive it

The Tenant (1976) is a tremendous movie and in the horror field, with Adjani in the main supporting role. You'd have to be willing to deal with Polanski in the main role and the director's chair, though

Watched the Crazies remake and NOES 5. I liked both more than I remembered. I have been working my way through the NOES movies on Max but for some reason they have every single one but Freddy’s Dead, so I’ll have to watch my old dvd I guess. Not expecting much from that one either way. The Crazies really benefits from Timothy Olyphant bring one of those people you’d rather not see die horribly.

Have yet to see Talk to Me. Lousy kids.

Talk To Me.

Really well done, very fun and sometimes scary. The cast was good and while i was expecting more scares, the scene with the kid was so fucked.

Looking forward to the sequel.

Talk to Me was really great, exceptionally well paced and weaves together some obvious influences without being obnoxious with callouts or feeling derivative. Least convincing “high schoolers” since 90210, though

If a kid in an A24 movie takes their younger sibling to a party, things are gonna go poorly

Just saw Talk to Me. Really like it. But the hype of recent horror movies is starting to bother me a little.

Cobweb.

Super messy. Very weird directorial choices and the tone is all over. It’s a shame to see such great actors like lizzy caplan and Tony Starr being wasted like this because there is a better movie somewhere.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Yeez, what a classic. All this time and this one is untouchable. Still looks good. Marilyn Burns is great.

Definitely, I still get immersed immediately whenever I decide to watch it.

Its so well done, and the presentation of Leatherface is still fucking shocking. The violence is intense and they dont show that much.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2.

Im a huge fan of this sequel. Its almost a black comedy. The fact that Hooper is back directing it and changes the tone of the original into this fueled cocaine neon dream is still surprising to this day.

Caroline Williams is great, she steals the movie. Also worth noting how good Bill Moseley is here, and how different his now classic character of Otis is.

The attack on the radio is a classic scene but damn if Dennis Hopper vs Leatherface doesnt put a smile to my face.
