grabbed Bram Stoker's Dracula on Audible 'coz it was included in their free library. Read by Alan Cumming. Wow! It's fantastic. Never read it before. Been listening at bedtime and I can't fall asleep until the chapter is over.

Finished chapter five, which I believe is the end of Harker’s 1P story. Next couple chapters are letters from his fiancé Mina to her female cousin and I keep falling asleep. They begin with dates that parallel Harker’s earlier journal entries, so it feels like a structural hiccup: rather than get some sort of tension buildup as their stories unroll at the same time, we get the conclusion of Harker’s arch, then jump back in time to hear about her lighthearted musings while Harker was descending into hell. It’s tough to care. Anxious to move on from this part, but I’ll stick with it.

I started it years ago. High school maybe? Early college? Who knows? I never got around to finishing it.

Interesting title. I've never heard of these authors. Do you have any interviews or shorter reads you would recommend to get an elevator pitch idea of the concepts in there?

Finally got Bret Easton Ellis´s new book, The Shards. So far its great. Kinda reminds me of Lunar Park, which in consider his best work.

I hit a bit of a wall with this one. Life got pretty busy and I just haven't had the gumption to jump back in to it. Found it to be a bit meandering (which I attribute to how it was initially serialized) but still enjoyable, hopefully grab some time this weekend.

yeah i get that. Its been difficult for me to actually read something. I have so many books to finish and start, even comics!

About 11% through the audiobook version. My first borrow on the Libby network.



Vintage Gibson. Having to re-listen to a few chapters to really acclimate to the world. Not 100% sure on how the function of a timeline "stub" works. Inventive as hell, and a female narrator makes perfect sense for Gibson's prose.
