Going to have a couple $30 cocktails across the street beforehand.

“Ginny, I wrote a song about you. It’s gonna be on my next record!”

“Oh really? That’s so sweet.” (Shouts) “Mickey! Mickey, come in here! My brother wrote a song about us! He’s gonna play it in front of the whole town next weekend! Our kids will be hearing it their whole lives. Isn’t that neat? Come in here and let’s listen. I bet it’s really sweet!”

It must have been something sitting in Madison Square Garden when he debuted it…”did he just air our dirty laundry in front of 20,000 people!?”

What a show!

I am disappointed that the legendary Bruce sweat is somewhat a myth. He had a giant sponge in water on the drum riser that he’d douse himself with between songs.

Just saying if I were in front row I would feel better about sponge water spritz than swamp ass run off. But maybe that’s just me.

Doesn’t he have like 30 people playing with him on stage? Or am I thinking of Poi Dog Pondering? I bet you it’s Poi Dog Pondering. But I swear every time I see shots of Bruce Springsteen there’s always a small city on stage. Is it Bruce?!

Went to the show Sunday night at the Meadowlands. I walked away from this show much happier than the show I went to in April. They were in a good place for sure.

Setlist: Lonesome Day, Night, No Surrender, Two Hearts, Prove It All Night, Something in the Night, Letter to You, The Promised Land, Spirit in the Night, Kitty’s Back, Night Shift, Atlantic City, Mary’s Place, Last Man Standing, Backstreets, Because the Night, She’s the One, Wrecking Ball, The Rising, Badlands, Thunder Road

Encore: Jungleland, Born to Run, Rosalita, Detroit Medley, Dancing in the Dark, Tenth Avenue Freeze Out, Jersey Girl

For those keeping score, 7 out of the 8 songs from Born to Run were played.

You better go.
You’ll regret it if you don’t.
