Hello? Is this thing still on?

I had a very active poster in this thread PM me a few months ago and ask if I had any updates, as I hadn’t posted in this thread I started in literal years. I didn’t have anything good to report at the time, but I recently took some steps to change that. I went to my doctor a few weeks ago and got a prescription for Wegovy, I’ve cleaned off my treadmill, and I’m committed to making some big changes. I’m only going to weigh myself once a week, so I’ll be back soon! (Probably Fridays.)

Yes!

OUR MESSIAH HAS RETURNED.

You will do great. The first week sucks but it will get better. List your height and weight when comfortable so we can keep track. Good idea to keep it to once a week. I am going crazy weighing in every day and going up and down a few pounds.

I’m dealing with the Wegovy side effects right now, which allegedly get better, so it’s been quite a ride over the past few days.

oh dear, I hope that passes soon. I just googled those:

The most common side effects of Wegovy® may include: nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach (abdomen) pain, headache, tiredness (fatigue), upset stomach, dizziness, feeling bloated, belching, gas, stomach flu, heartburn, and runny nose or sore throat.

In the meantime, celebrate your thread. It turned 10 years old in March.

Right now I’ve only got fatigue and nausea; it was worst on Sunday (first shot was Friday), but it spiked again this morning after a big meal last night. It’s settled down, for sure.

Glad that it has settled down. Keep us posted. We all motivate each other. You started a good thing with this thread. We joke a lot but at our core we really like losing (or maintaining) our weight.

I've been walking for at least 30 minutes/day for the last 2.5 weeks. I feel like I eat pretty healthy...all of my recent bloodwork indicates I'm a healthy person. Yet, I've still somehow gained a few pounds...

I don't eat within two hours of bed, otherwise, I sleep poorly.

Not sure what the deal is.

If the weight came on suddenly over the last week or so, it's temporary water weight.

If the weight gain happened over a longer period of time, it's maybe stubborn fat.

Probably water weight. It will pass.

Just make sure you drink a lot of water and be prepared for some monster pees.

hmm, I don't mind peeing, and I'd burn calories when I walk to the bathroom.

and opening the bottle of water pills will surely burn some calories.

and shaking my junk after peeing will burn calories.

so many ways to burn calories.

are you doing any exercise in addition to walking?

30 mins is a lot of time that could be put to better use with situps and pushups

would suggest adding those in if not already

it was once i started doing situps in particular that it turned the tide
