A movie about a Finn fighting hordes of invading collectivist monsters, but they aren't commies? Sounds kinda cowardly on the filmmakers' part.

Hot Summer Nights and My Friend Dahmer next. After those two I will have 90 movies left to see from 2017, 50 I’ve never seen before, 40 I’ve seen before, including the biggest movies of the year.

Hot Summer Nights starting now.

This movie looks amazing, soundtrack is great, Chalamet is by far the stand out actor here, the overall concept is solid, and yet the story is boring and typical. Would be a better movie if the drug storyline didn’t take over, and they focused on growing up, love, partying and having fun.

My Friend Dahmer

So so start. Can’t finish it today, as my wife wants to see it, and she’ll be at work.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I've thought about checking that out a few times. I also nearly bought the book a couple of times.

yes it's really more of a date movie
She loved the show Mindhunter, and when she’s watching stuff alone, it’s not rare that it’s crime related.

Horrible Bosses 2. Had some moments, but generally uninspired.
