How would you feel about me changing my last name to my wife's? Her name is way cooler than mine, and we both value it much more. For instance, I don't talk to my dad anymore, and he was adopted. It wasn't even actually his "real" blood last name. So nobody I care about even has my last name, except for me and my kids. But we can change the kids' names too before they start school.
