Re: What movies are you watching?
Just watch it and enjoy it, for the music, the mood, the colors and the costumes, the great cast, and the positive energy.
If you can’t enjoy the music on any level, then of course you will not like it. It’s the same for any musical really.

Do you honestly like those songs?

Re: What movies are you watching?
Yes. I do enjoy musicals, like Singin' in the Rain, An American In Paris, My Fair Lady etc., but I would not put the music on outside of watching the movies (or going to a musical), and it’s the same here. It’s enjoyable while watching the movie.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I love musicals. The Greatest Showman is not a good musical, and it's partly because of the songs (but also because of everything else)

Prety sure I watched The Greatest Showman with my wife a while back. I don't remember it being particularly good or bad. It's one of those films that left no impression

Seemed like it was loved by kids and young folks when it came out. ‘This is Me’ hatched a lot of eggs.

TMNT: Mutant Mayhem.
Very fun, loved the animation, loved how filthy NY was, the casting, pretty much everything but i did not care much for the comedy, im kinda worn with the need to put other pop culture into this films. They saw Adele, they like hip hop, they know who beyonce is..its just too much and its not funny.
Overall, a good movie from this great franchise.

Decision To Leave.
Gorgeous framing and photography for a very intense thriller. As always Chan-Wook Park can be divise for some, but damn if this guy doesnt know how to shoot a movie.

A masterpiece, IMO. Loved that movie. His best, I think.
