I disagree. He says rather a lot.

He says “I think most of the climate change agenda is, I’m just going to say it, is a hoax. I’m going to call that for what it is.”

He says “Take those government agencies that should not exist…from the FBI to the IRS to the CDC to the ATF to the Department of Education…we will get in there and Shut. It. Down.”

He says “I will support a constitutional open carry amendment.”

He says “We stand for the truth. We speak that truth without apology: God is real. There are two genders. Fossil fuels are a requirement for human prosperity.”

He says a lot of things that sound good to, and play well in, an echo chamber of agreeing philosophies….things that haven’t yet reached the attention of most voters, but which are simply not great platforms for winning a general election in the year 2024. His efforts so far seem more designed to make him a popular figure within a certain donor base than to achieve a national victory.

What Vivek suggests here is that these agencies and departments are full of long-term mid level administrators and these administrators serve no purpose other than to perpetuate their own existence (which is essentially corruption). He claims he would dissolve the agencies and realign their missions elsewhere. So in the FBI example, analysts and agents would be reassigned to DHS, DIA, etc, and the admins would be RIF'd. The IRS which is essentially a go-between for the citizens and the Treasury would be folded into Treasury in a similar manner. DoE would be replaced by direct payments to parents and states. And so on.

I dont think he has thought this through, or thought many of his plans through, as this would mean a shitload of folks moving onto federal pensions and retiree healthcare all at once instead of gradually over time costing hundreds of billions. Assuming he can actually fire them as many govvies are unionized.

Wow. She doubles down harder than a dick taking up a handicapped parking space by playing a small clip of the interview instead of the whole exchange.
Actually interview and audio: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/ar ... ng/675076/

Both CNN and The Atlantic are taking an analogy about the lack of government disclosures regarding January 6th out of context to claim he is spreading a conspiracy theory about 9/11 and pretending folks have such a low comprehension of the English language that they can't get see it. This is how they see the rest of us, as buffoons to be conned.

It's all a game to these scumbags. They don't care about being right, only winning.

Honestly, anyone that watches cable news and takes it seriously is a fool and will be chronically misinformed.

My apologies. I don't mean to defend CNN.

I just don't care to give neurons to all the nitwits trying to out Trump Trump.

I get it, but one of these nitwits is gonna be the red team VP nom. Which means should 80-something Trump (who is suffering from heart issues) get elected, not likely but possible, Vivek might be next in line. We don't need CNN or anyone else giving him ammo in his campaign to be Trump's running mate.
