I made an appointment this morning to get my fingerprints taken for my Canadian citizenship paper work..I have to go to a police station in Blaine, Washington first thing Friday morning...I will then drive across the border to Vancouver to my buddies house who is hosting his annual Fantasy football draft..I will not be playing again this year but I've been given the job as the auctioneer..there will be steaks and ribs and his restaurant is catering all of us with a burger bar..a lot of whiskey to be had

Yeah, before half our fantasy league moved to different parts of the country, someone would just cook a bunch of Totinos pizza rolls and we’d have 2 coolers full of PBRs

I think I've joined one fantasy football league in my life. It was about ten years ago with some coworkers. I wasn't even following football at the time, but they didn't have enough people so I joined. No money, just bragging rights. I think I picked last, and I never made any lineup changes.

Re: Talk about your day thread
A little while ago the doorbell rang and when I answered it was my next-door neighbor. We hardly ever see her as she mostly keeps to herself. She said that her car battery had died, and asked for help hooking it up to her portable charger. I went over and helped her get the charger connected, gave the battery a little charge, and she was able to start the car. However, she somehow managed to lock her keys in the car while it was running.
I asked her if she had a spare. She went inside and came back out with a spare but that didn't work because the batteries were dead in it. I'd never had to mess with a key fob to Lexus so I had to hop on YouTube to see how to get get to the battery. I got the battery out and asked her if she had any spares. She did not but fortunately one of my coworkers lives right next door to her so I walked over, knocked on his door, and got one from him.
While I was helping her, she said that she was trying to go help her son whose car also wouldn't start. She was visibly anxious and I felt bad for her. She said she would've asked her partner for help but he left her about a year ago. He just left her a letter and said he was leaving and took all his stuff. I had noticed for a while that his truck work was not out there but didn't make much of it, and it's not my business to pry.
I hope she made it to help her kid.
