Pre-loads on Xbox begin tomorrow. I also got the new UI on my Series X today.
I got mine to update last night finally. I like it.

I caved and bought an Elite Series 2 controller because the Starfield one is sold out. Ready for this game to be here.

Im holding out for Target or Wal Mart to maybe have a back-to-school sale before pulling the trigger on a new controller. I knew the one I’m using has some stick shift, but it didn’t really become super noticeable until I started FO 76, and now it’s driving me nuts.

Apparently there have been some leaks of screenshots/storylines/etc from early reviewers. So watch out!

I didn’t get the Starfield controller in time, but I got a blue shift controller, which is sufficiently space-y for me:

I don't like how there's 2 release dates. I won't be playing until September 6.

Nice article here, but some spoilers, so beware. This part, I liked..

“Eight hours playing Starfield shows why – the game is the team’s most polished, ambitious in scope and original in tone in recent memory.”

There are too many great games and my available time only decreases day by day. I am overwhelmed.

I'm playing boomer shooters. I'll let you know what I think of this thing in ~5 years' time.

I finally wrapped up Zelda and skipped Baldur's Gate so I'm ready to rock. It should have my near undivided attention until the MLB playoffs and Super Mario Wonder.

Lol - my local Walmart would never be able to figure that out. I'll go before work on the 6th and then get pissed off when they can't find it.

Review embargo lifts in 14 hours. I bet this settles in the low 90s on Metacritic. A very good score!

I haven’t been diving into the leaks or anything, but they’re all over TikTok so they’re kind of hard to avoid, but I haven’t heard anything that makes me any less excited to jump right in. Might use Tuesday night to just do character creation, then get going Wednesday when the kids go to school—it’s the first full day for all of them.

Will I actually be able to RP this game, or will I chicken out and just be a generally good guy again who uses rifles from a distance? Stay tuned.

Can my character be an alien or a robot?
