I already talked about this, but Rosario Dawson is so good on this. She really nails it.

Rosario, Mary Elizabeth, and Natasha are all knocking it out of the park.
Ray and Ivanna are also delivering big time.
I'm obsessed with Shin. Her line delivery of "You're a witch" was so fucking awesome. So layered. She brought so much to the line. I hope she ends up being really involved in this season and beyond.
Dear Filoni... please don't kill off Shin

Really fascinating how Baylan knows not only that Sabine was Ahsoka's Padawan but also that she's is on Lothal. That's super interesting. I would think that knowledge is pretty limited to a VERY select few.

Listened to the whole thing... Greenwald is off his rocker. He's contradicting himself all over the place and not at all recognizing his own bias. It's weird.epilogue wrote:Yeah, this is frustrating from such smart guysEnsign9 wrote:Lots of bitching from critics that have never watched Rebels. I sympathize with the feeling a "mass market" show shouldn't require homework but I wouldn't want Filoni dumbing it down. Go watch Rebels, you hacks.
To his credit, CR at least tries to acknowledge all the counter arguments. Overall, it was a bummer of a conversation but there were some interesting points and bright spots. I'm glad they're gonna bail on it, though. I don't need to hear this every week.

It's the one he force-crushes for me. Yeah, he can disable them. Dismember them. But he went can-crusher on one of them. That was some shit.dimejinky99 wrote:Luke turned up and was a fuckin Jedi obliterating an army the episode showed us even one of them alone was almost impossible to beat and takes them all out with ease.

So Marrok, Morgan and Baylon are all names from real world mythology.
Morgan the evil witch in Arthurian legends.
And the other two (this where filonis obsessions with wolves comes in) two wolves named in Norse mythology
Morgan curses one of Arthur’s knights and turns him into a werewolf.
So is that Marrok and is Ezra actually Marrok?
Is it Kanan resurrected? Is it Galen Marek? Barris Offee?
Ben Solo?
Stay tuned to find out.

Agreed. Best thing I’ve seen in Star Wars since I was a kid.wease wrote:It’s the best thing to happen since ESB.dimejinky99 wrote:Ello Sailor wrote:Luke's CGI wasn't even bad. I don't know why some nerds get so bent out of shape about it.
Ignore that for a second and remember what happened
Luke turned up and was a fuckin Jedi obliterating an army the episode showed us even one of them alone was almost impossible to beat and takes them all out with ease. It’s shot so beautifully and the score is fuckin on every point amazing.
The music in the classic Star Wars tradition is telling you it’s him all the way through but you couldn’t see him all you got was a hooded figure and we all were frantic going is it him??
And then his green lightsaber
I could go on about that all day it’s probably my favourite moment in all Star Wars. It certainly is my favourite of the tv element of it

Feels like Andy knows he needs to watch Rebels and is frustrated to be missing out on the reward that is Ahsoka.epilogue wrote:Listened to the whole thing... Greenwald is off his rocker. Where have we seen wolves before in Star Wars? Well
Loth-Wolves were predators native to Lothal. They were known to plague farmers from Lothal's earliest settlements until they were believed to have been hunted to extinction. None were seen for hundreds of years until Ezra Bridger made contact with one during the Galactic Empire's occupation of the planet. Bridger later communed several of the Loth-Wolves following the death of his friend, Kanan Jarrus, as they guided him.

"No, I didn't go through your things."
"Yes, you did!"

Re: We knew it was coming. Ahsoka - Disney+
So many people are saying they feel like Ahsoka is too stoic, that she doesn't seem to be having any fun. I challenge those folks to watch these scenes again:
- Ahsoka in the temple. Her wry side smile as she figures out the stone puzzle.
- Her saber fight with the droids and Marrok. The twisted glee in her eye as she runs the droid through and uses it's body as a shield.
- Any chat with Herra.
She's been through some shit. But the light is still there. Rosario is just really fucking good at playing layers with subtlety.

She is too stiff and detached
We all know her history. We all know you grow up and things change you for better or worse
But could do with just even a bit more humour and ‘humanity’.
The Ahsoka we all know was a funny quippy something to say about everything sass factory .
We’re likely never to see much of her again on screen but there’s a middle ground sweet spot between point they could’ve hit.
Then again we might still get that in this show

Did you not see Rebels? She was not funny and quippy. She was serious fulcrum hell bent on taking down the empire. And at the very end she was stoic and serious and only concerned with finding Ezra. This Ahsoka fits.dimejinky99 wrote:

Hell even in that last season of clone wars when she had to fight Vader… that funny and quippy Ahsoka was not a thing anymore
