Stickman wrote:The wrestling world lost a true legend in the passing of Terry Funk. I met Terry when I was only 14 years old and he, along with his brother Dory and father Dory Sr., was an immense influence on me. One of the greatest in-ring performers who always brought a distinct realism and imagination to the business. He was as famous for his hard bumps as he was for his brawling, but was a true worker and professional. Few did it better, and this is one loss that pro wrestling will mourn for a very long time. To my friend and mentor, I pray a fast trip and soft landing in wrestling heaven. Thank you for all you gave.- Bret Hart

Bray Wyatt

Only 36 years old. Really sad.

Last I heard he had been ill for a while, but was over it and preparing for a return.

That’s odd. Something got Cheeseburger in Paradise in my head yesterday and I was singing it all day.

Can totally see “Wounded is the son of a son of a sailor” being sung tonight

That one hurts. Not a surprise necessarily but still sad. There was a lot more to Jimmy Buffett’s music than the touristy Margaritaville caricature. I saw him many times and enjoyed the concert every bit as much as the legendary tailgate parties that preceded them.

The community he created was Pearl Jamesque, only maybe a little less toxic and entitled. My mom and stepdad were Parrotheads…like, “make the newsletter for the local chapter” level parrotheads.

Jimmy Buffett was responsible for a lot of good things in this world. Man, did I not like his music.
