Do you suppose Eddie is the type of person who would keep his cool when a 13-year old girl is shoving her breasts in his face? What would you say to a 13-year old groupie? "Put those away and go home" comes to mind.

I would think a guy who had spent the previous ten-plus years playing to crowds of multiple-thousands of people (which, unless all of the reports about the show were wrong, there were more than thirty or forty people there) would be able to ignore a girl who would have to be at the very least 10-15 feet away from him. There's a pretty good chance that she wasn't the first girl to flash her breasts at a Pearl Jam show. Or maybe she was. Or maybe I missed the part where she was one of only eight people there and she ran on stage and pressed her breasts against his face. Which obviously I did. It was wrong for me to judge him.

But yeah. Put those away probably would have been enough. But it's always cool to bully someone, so why pass up the chance? Especially if it's a thirteen year old girl. It would have been cool if she would have gone home and shot her whole family, and then Ed could've written a song about sympathizing with her.

Ed was definitely a giant asshole for making fun of her being flat chested, but I don't think he was necessarily wrong for ranting at her and telling her to stop in general. If course he didnt have to, but this is 2003 drunken ed, any opportunity to rant about voting. There's another show where he tells a girl to stop it cause she's distracting the band and they're messing up songs lol.

You go around flashing people, you're bringing the reactions on yourself. I assume she was hoping for a wink or a smile or something but she got a rant instead, oh well. Better luck next time. Or maybe next time, don't flash people. I don't know.

On to different story, it turns out that Dom Lawson, the man who reviewed Lightning Bolt for the Guardian UK, said in a tweet that he possibly meant to give the album 4 stars instead of 3 stars shown on the Guardian website.

It was definitely an overreaction. I just meant that he doesn't have to be polite about some girl flashing him, because oh he might hurt the poor girls feelings. She knew what she was doing, and if she does it often its probably not the first time she got a negative reaction.

I don't think he wants to be bono or anything, just that he mellowed out in general. Into the wild and everything kinda started this whole peace loving hippy wino perception of him. But that was more to do with the music and the movie I think than something he actually did/said.

It's not all world saving ukulele rainbows though, he almost wished bad things on people just last week.

For me, Infallible and Pendulum carries this album. For me, it would be a "good" album, but this two songs got me with a "wow" effect, that they simply stand out on the whole, showing "Hey fuckers, we are the boss arround here".

Interestingly enough, a lot of the recent crop of reviews were nailing those two songs as places where the album kinda lost its way.
