Yeah, but the wait time is the deterrent. 10cers would pay to guarantee product and casual fans would be more likely to buy if the lines were shorter. It would free up time to consume more beer and food in the venue as wellMonkey_Driven wrote:They could also just print more shirts and posters. The only time they had individual poster preorders was 2009. Lots of complaints because of poster quality. I thought it was great.Bi_3 wrote:Yeah, but the wait time is the deterrent. 10cers would pay to guarantee product and casual fans would be more likely to buy if the lines were shorter. That’s right, the BS tour. Yeah I get that it’s way cheaper and requires much less work to just sell these at stands at the show and making fans deal with it. I’d do it that way too if I ran things. PJ fans have to be the absolutely worst to deal with when it comes to ordering merch, especially posters.CopperTom wrote:The only time they had individual poster preorders was 2009. Logistics and overhead to do it, I bet. And I agree it's something they could do. I'd even pay a premium for their troubles.bodysnatcher wrote:They did this before, i got a couple of posters this way on the Lightning Bolt tour (I believe?). 3 of the last 4 shows I've been to, I got the poster off ebay after missing them at the venue, 10c, and artist sales.

Reminds of those two boneheads that sat behind us in St Louis last year. They sit down 3 songs from the end and say “at least we didn’t miss all of it.” They’d been in the merch line the entire show.

i tell you what, as ruddo can attest, i regret not stepping out of the last song of the sigur ros show a couple of weeks ago in boston. that line was at least a 90 minute wait after the show.
