Not if people don’t leave one. Read yours and see if there’s anything derogatory

Would you consider it inappropriate to say "Kiss my ass" and walk away after a moderately heated argument?

I wouldn't say it to a fellow man, but I would say it to a lady (not in a sexual way, just in a generally disrespectful way)

The Manager thinks not. But I also think he’s trying to CYA since he flew to the location in late April to investigate ongoing issues and at no point notified us. One of our Handbook prohibited activities is:

Obscene or abusive language toward any supervisor, manager, employee or customer. Indifference or rudeness toward a client or fellow employee. Any disorderly/antagonistic conduct on company/customer premises.

I think it crosses a line. Now there have been other incidents between these two and the person who that was said to called us with a hostile work environment complaint.

Kiss my ass is mild compared to what a colleague said to someone on my wife’s team recently. He still has his job too.

To be clear, I’m not talking about firing anybody. But a verbal warning if nothing else.

There have been a few other incidents between these two, and I do think he’s overreacting on the hostile work environment front, but there are definitely unresolved issues.
