i don't think that you need to turn your socks inside out to get rid of sweat and oils, unless your washing machine really, really sucks.

open tub (we just got a new one about two years ago). we were playing hide and seek with my 2 year old second cousin, and there's much more room for hiding (and forgetting he's there).
