I always take into consideration that we will hear some of the new songs live and have recordings of those through the boots....and those always sound different than the records. Maybe you will like the drums better live vs. how they sound on the record?

if only the rest of the band still sounded great, I could say "oh well at least we have live versions"

Jagger never had a good voice, he's always just done speak-singing that relied on its character and swagger; Ed has fallen far but he always at least attempted melody, and at his best, he was the best

I don't actually feel like Ed was attempting anything like the melodic precision of Indifference on CDM; it's scrappy on purpose and sounds better than "Angry"
