Will thrawn be part of the development of the First Order?
This is all leading up to filonis event movie.
Basically the rise of the first order.
Where it goes then *shrug*
** where was Ahsoka the rebels crew the mandalorians etc etc when ROTJ was happening?
Well they had their own hands full fighting the empire their own way.

I know a lot of fans are aware of this, but for those still catching up on canon who may not be aware --- it is canon confirmed (via Forces of Destiny, I believe) that Hera and Chopper were both present at the Battle of Endor.
To my knowledge we don't know what Sabine and Ahsoka were up to.
But given what we've learned from the Ahsoka series, it's possible that they were off training together. But obvioulsy there is a lot more story coming, so I'm sure we'll get the official answer at some point.

Filoni wants to tie this story in with Mando, Boba, Rogue Squadron, and close it all out with a movie to end the Thrawn storyline. He's smart enough to know that going the multiverse route would convolute it too much. We'll see where this Anakin thing goes, but I'm pretty confident in my theory that this is just all in her head. The world between worlds is just the place in her mind she knows she could see Anakin again.
There ye go. This ^^
Multiverses are inevitable now because franchises have realized they can bring back endless old characters and the iconic actors that play them, which is the easiest way to make money.

There are no and will be no multiverses.
I can guarantee you that much.
It might not be a traditional multiverse, but sounds like they are going to relive a version of already happened events from a certain point of view thing

I just read online that they're going to merge this universe with the GI Joe universe
