Overall US deaths in 2020 and 2021 were 20% higher than in 2019, so something was going on.

I don't know if it's "long covid", but I swear my fatigue levels worsened quite a bit after having Covid last summer.

4/5 B family got the new shot. #5's waiting on the under 12 shot.

By the way guys, get your flu shot while you're out. It's rollin' in early.

I just checked to make sure, and thankfully entry to Canada doesn’t require any of this BS anymore.

Should government employees be fired if they don’t take it?

Was it an easy choice to have your kids take the latest shot? Deciding to continue giving children covid shots has become an outlier opinion in the US. Less than 7% of people under 17 y/o took the first bivalent booster.

No. Possibly healthcare workers. Most hospital systems have require flu for a decade, and COVID-19 is easily a worse disease.

Yes. Cheap and easy illness prevention.

In my experience this is incorrect. Pre covid, health care workers who declined flu shots were usually instructed to wear masks during flu season. They were never forced with the threat of job loss if they didn’t take the shot.

Did it? Can you present evidence of health care workers being fired for not taking the flu shot during pre covid years? Maybe it happened but I was surrounded by both health care workers and emergency responders for decades leading up to covid and I never saw any instances of that happening.

Google is overwhelmed with COVID stories, but Duke fires employees for noncompliance. https://flu.duke.edu/faq/#:~:text=Duke% ... employment.

That started when I was in a different position, so it was pre 2015.

Healthcare workers having to get vaccinated makes sense. If you can’t exempt yourself for medical or religious reasons, you’re basically implying you’re anti-vax, which throws into question your whole belief system around modern medicine. Which is worrisome given your profession of choice.

That page shows a post covid policy. I’m asking for a case of a health care worker being fired for not taking the flu shot PRE COVID. You claimed it was required at that time. In my experience it was not. Those who declined the shot were simply told to wear a mask and enforcement was often negligible.

Modern medicine is based on so much more than simply a system of belief centered around vaccinations. My goodness. Additionally it should be very clear by now theres’s a big difference between being anti-vax and being anti covid (or flu) shots.
