Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I keep starting then stopping this show. It still has my attention and interest, but perhaps not bingeworthy.

I'm planning on starting this once I'm done with my current viewing commitments.

Is it going to be 10 episodes in S01? I might wait until they've all aired so I can watch an episode a day.

I was already excited for this but then I listened to a podcast about how Dune was a reaction to Foundation and it made me even more excited to watch this!

I've never read Foundation but I feel like I should.

The finale felt a little rushed, but I like the empire storyline now and excited to see where it goes

Was that the X-Ray vision episode about Dune?

I’m 2 episodes in, and really enjoying this one. I was more excited for Invasion, but that’s been… meh so far. This one has really exceeded my expectations so far.

Are you caught up on Invasion? I thought it has been getting better each episode.

I’m caught up and yes, the last 2 eps of Invasion were a bit better, but slow. I don’t know, feels like they’re just dragging a usual story out.

Foundation seems deeper, and way more interesting so far.

That was a really good episode, and it got me interested in Foundation, but I really just can't add another show or book right now. Maybe some day!

It definitely is. I wish Invasion would just focus on the family and the Japanese girl. I'm tired of the kids and the SEAL

Latest episode was best of the season. This season hasn't had much "space" stuff in it, but I liked the visuals of this episode. They were losing me with the Brother Day marriage stuff until this episode. That speech the future empress gave will make things interesting. The Hober Mallow scene was really cool as well.

The Seldon flashbacks! That was really cool, and now it appears Hari is doing all of this not for humankind but for revenge on Empire. Nice little twist. I wonder who is behind putting Hari back into an actual body, and why?

Exciting times. This show fills the void left by The Expanse.

Cool episode this week, especially the beginning. I think it’s the first time they mentioned Earth on the show.
