my friend thought it was a romance at first, because it stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. Not exactly disaster movie names.

The dialogue and music were pretty bad yeah. But Cuarón is a magnificent director. He remind me of Kubrick sometimes.

This movie was about the beautiful and harsh reality (for the most part) of space, and the human will to die or survive. It has nothing to do about a mother that lost her child. Chick-flick never crossed my mind.

My issue not yours but I hate the concept of privilege and the way it's used. I find it so victimizing and absolutely non-contextual.

I can't imagine liking a movie more than I like my wife. That's pretty weird.

Are you insinuating that a real man can't like a chick flick?

Listen, I consider Mary's conception of Jesus to be pretty fucking epic. So leave Christ out of it.
