Gotta protect the children!
Gotta protect teachers from being fired for the most petty and idiotic reasons.
Like being a dick to children and families?
The phrase "being a dick" does an adequate job of illustrating the unimportance of this "crime" against children and families, justifying no punishment for the teachers. Particularly given the current supply/demand ratio for teachers.
How long would you allow a teacher to call a cis boy "she" and tell him he was actually a girl before you told that teacher, "yeah, this isn't working out.". Letting shitty teachers teach is not a solution for a staffing crisis.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Isn’t this exactly what that Florida law is designed to avoid?

No, I don’t think that is a good summary of “exactly” what the Florida law is designed for

The point was to remove the subjective opinions and biases of state employees in favor of the documented and legal opinion of the parents and prevent those employees from hiding violations of parental trust via explicit rules and enforcement up to and including termination

The original quote I pulled has been deleted. I was referencing the part of the law that lets teachers use "birth certificate" pronouns even if the kid and parent want something different.

That’s the documented and legal part. It can be changed if the person is transitioning under parental and physician guidance (but not teacher or school counselor):

I’m not endorsing this, just making sure the facts are straight

Americans en masse are dissatisfied with the country's schools. But parents feel pretty good about their own kids' education.

Why it matters: A divide between parents with first-hand experience of U.S. schools and the rest of the country has gotten worse since the onset of the pandemic and a rise in political polarization.
Averages are fickle things, but why is "everyone" so misinformed? Why?

it's just people getting their information from the vocal few that post on tiktok, instagram, etc.

Like the Target pride month/ transgender-friendly clothing. If you only went off of tiktok, it was a national crisis. You go to your local Target at the time and no one cares.

Nice win for parental rights in California:

California Federal Court Issues Order Blocking School from Forcing Teachers to Lie to Parents

https://www.thomasmoresociety.org/news/ ... #gsc.tab=0

Any CA school district that requires their teachers to lie to parents now does so at significant financial risk to taxpayers. In the above case the state has been ordered to pay the winning legal team’s fee of $1,200 per hour for 850 hours of work.
Every sentence in my head, someone else has said.

Teachers should lie to parents at their own discretion.

To be fair when adults have private conversations with minors about their sex and sexuality and then lie to parents about those conversations, well… it’s raises some red flags.

Per WPATH, it's against the interest of the child (social transition is unlikely to be an effective intervention without parental support)

Additionally, it requires the complicity of the rest of the school and the other parents, unless the affected child's parents are incredibly siloed.

I’m willing to bet you do not believe that, but instead want teachers to “instill” your value system’s position on these topics while disregarding the culture, religion, and value system of the child. IOW you want the state to parent

That's an oversimplification, but if it makes you feel superior, I'll let you have the win.

If your argument requires putting words in your opponents mouth then it's not much of an argument.
