I enjoyed the Maron appearance. Interesting to learn that LaLonde is the big Zappa fan in the band. Les seems to have his roots firmly placed in the funk/prog realm.

I’m about to give Primus a try. Other than the South Park theme My Name is Mud and the Winona’s Beaver tune, I don’t think I’ve ever really heard anything by them. I’ve watched a couple of Claypool interviews recently and he sounds really interesting. Never knew he auditioned for Metallica after Burton died.

Primus is a wild ride. Suck On This is their live album and it’s also their debut, though they’ve been through phases where they sounded more prog, then more metal, then jammy. The early stuff is what you start with though. For me Frizzle Fry is the best but Sailing the Seas of Cheese is a close second.
