That was not what i was expecting at all. And i mean that in a good way. There was a deeper story going on that really hit with me at just the right time. Some nice little twists in there as well. And of course it was beautiful as expected from Gareth Edwards. I’m going to stew on this one for a while but i want to see it again.

I read they shot this on a Sony FX3, which you can buy at best buy. It looked amazing.

I'm taking my kids to see this tomorrow - probably after enduring one of those indoor playgrounds

I feel like 90% of Sam Neil movies are medicine. Like, we're all supposed to love them but god they're terrible. Even the good ones are overrated.

Poor guy.

Most Paul W.S. Anderson movies are very bad, but Event Horizon rules. Sam Neill is cool, I recommend his book. Very funny.

Oh ok I missed the 90% part. Anyway Event Horizon takes a very long time to tell a half hour story, but I still like it a lot. I do remember seeing Solaris for the first time and saying “hey wait a minute…”

Event horizon kind of sparked the modern non-alien space horror genre. Pandorum, Sunshine, Solaris reboot. I know there are some recent ones I’m missing as well.
