Song of the Moment: Help Help

Post by dad »

when i click on the link for this song, it redirects to, "this page does not exist." if it in fact does, please delete this thread.

another criminally underplayed song live.

Help Help

Tell me what I wanna hear
This shit's too good to be true
My dear

Tell me lies
Tell me lies, tell me
Tell me lies, tell me

Help me

Storybook keeps from hurting me
You see
Shell of the man from the sea

Tell me lies
Tell me lies, tell me
Tell me lies, tell me

Tell me why
Tell me why, tell me
Tell me why, tell me

Tell me lies,...

Help me

Reservoir
Of hate and fear
Invisible
In repair
A hundred thieves
Cast a spell
This is hell

Help me

The man they call my enemy, I've seen his eyes
He looks just like me, a mirror

The more you read, we've been deceived
Everyday it becomes clearer,...

Clearer.

Not my enemy,.. no, not my enemy,..
Don't speak for me. No, not my enemy.

i'm envious you saw it live.

i liked what they did buy playing Help! before it the last couple of times they did. another song worth bringing back once in a while.

it's only been played 13 times since 16 February 2003. yikes.

This started out as my least favorite on Riot Act and the over the years is my favorite or at least in the top tier. I love how uncomfortable the song feels.

One of their best songs. Mike and Ed are the obvious heroes at the end but everyone on this track contributes mightily. It took me many listens before I realized how great Jeff plays. 5/5

My second favorite from the album behind Cropduster. Tremendous track.

This is Tremor Christ level great, but it’s sneaky about it. Needs repeat lessons to sink in.

Agreed, its awesomeness sneaks up on you. 4/5 stars for me, only because i reserve 5 stars for the absolute best songs in the catalog. I would love to hear it live. I imagine it’s so much better than the studio version because i find the production kills the intensity of the outro.

this song is about as underrated as it gets. i love it (although i can do without the stupid boom keyboard reverb the second the song ends).

Sometimes I toy with idea of this being a 5-star song.

I was lukewarm on this song until I saw them perform it in Hershey (7/12/03).

There was a huge pink moon in the dusk sky opposite the stage when they were playing this song, and Eddie changes some lyrics to reference it.

It set the mood perfectly. One of those moments that most didn't witness.

Pink moon, or giant mosquito-bite nipple in the sky?
