If it’s not recast and he died offscreen; they can still continue the storyline with the girl.

Of no matter.
If Baylon does it or the girl does it, all the audience are going to see is the plot of Star Trek II remade where they find some entity trapped on a planet who insists he’s god and actually isn’t.
It’s ridiculous. They should avoid it at all costs.

Yeah well I don’t know what the story will be about Dime.
Looks like it’s something they wanna talk about so I’m guessing this storyline will continue

I mean, whats the point of any article really but i actually find myself agreeing with pretty much everything in that article.dimejinky99 wrote:Im Not even sure what the point of articles like these are

This show misses the mark for a guy like me who did watch some of the clone wars and all of rebels yet never obsessed over them and every detail. this show requires far too much knowledge to have an emotional connection and reaction to the characters.

See I get that. Just post that article.
What the writer misses is, there’s tens of millions of Star Wars fans behind count around the world who *do* know all this stuff. They are the target audience. If it picks up genpop randomers along the way, all to the good.
Every creator and company pitches to their audience. It wouldn’t work if they didn’t
So where I get confused is things like andor. Universally loved.
Apply your logic to that now.
A massive amount of Joe randomers loved that show and everything about it.
That’s great! But this is the point the writer and a lot of people miss.
There’s entry points and it’s up to you to determine how much you get invested.
And you’re under no obligation.
If Ahsoka was heavily linked to *everything else* (and it was) you’re nit really the audience it’s aimed at. It’s for the huge rebels cohort of fans and the massive prequels cohort of fans etc etc
This one wasn’t made for general public as a priority
Make sense ?

Well what about people like me? Star wars obsessed but just didn't memorize every episode of the 75 hours of clone wars?
Andor is brilliant because it doesnt require you to know too much. I would venture to guess that most of the standard population understand the premise of the original star wars. Empire bad. Death star.
Andor doesnt require those people to also have dove deep into really anything else. The story telling is singular and beautiful.

See my point about entry points.
It all isn’t designed for your personal tastes nor mine. There’s plenty of Mando clone wars andor etc episodes that are just episode of the week.
‘But what about me?’ Thinking is exactly what’s wrong with society in general.
It’s like turning up at an all night rave in a warehouse in Berlin and complaining youre photosensitive and autistic and dont like crowds or loud noises or anything that doesn’t meet your needs and then complaining about it on the internet when it doesn’t.
I diont mean you personally but all of it.

"What about me" wasn't a "waht about me!!!" in a whiny sense.dimejinky99 wrote:See my point about entry points.

My point is, you need to be hardcore obsessed with star wars to get any emotional impact from Ahsoka. I dont think that is a good way to write your shows. IM just saying, this is why i dont love this. The best parts were Baylon because he was a new character and now we're fucked because he died!

An objective observer would say I’m hardcore obsessed with Star Wars.
I had little to no emotional engagemt with the series other than the anakin and Ezra and reunion moments. Not much really at all managed to get there.
So the hit rate is mixed. But there’s other people and every moment meant the world.
We need a choose your own adventure Star Wars series. Like those old books.
Then you get the outcome best suited to you.
That’s coming at some point I’m sure what with the ai of it allbut the best thing about it is everyone gets what they want. Based on their personal preferences.
I’m here for that infinite galaxy with a million nerds like us crafting our own tales in the gffa

i dont agree with that article at all. I havent seen clone wars or the animated series and i enjoyed Ahoska very much. And im grateful they didnt explain much about who these characters are or what happen previously.
At this point if you need to know more about them, just go and watch the cartoons or read the books, its kinds stupid to ask this series to talk about the past, keep moving forward in this timeline please.

We're not asking them to talk about the past. We're asking them to not rely so heavily on it.VinylGuy wrote:i dont agree with that article at all. I really liked the series but I was really disappointed in the finale.
It kind of reminded me of Mando S3 finale. The action scene were great then they kind of rushed the last 5 minutes and lost all the emotional weight of it all.
As B said I cant wait for season 2, but having to wait another 3 years for it is annoying.

the emotional resonance of Ashoka and Anakin meeting again was not lost on me, and i havent seen the cartoons. The same with Ezra and Sabine meeting again.
And best part of it, its that if you like something from this series you can go and search for the cartoons.
