This seriously changes everything.
I will be cancelling my afternoon plans to instead focus on my updated album closer rankings.

Re: Yield: Official Album Thread
if Hummus is the closer, why don't we have a thread for it?

Re: Yield: Official Album Thread
This "Hummus" issue seems pretty inflammatory on the surface, but there is no need to worry. The E-Z Album Closer Identifaction Matrix (EZ-ACIM) has a guideline for this.
Yield has been out for 25 years, with "All Those Yesterdays" clearly designated as the album closer, insofar as it meets the easy-to-understand, no-sensible-person-would-ever-contradict-this criteria of "the last listed track on the album that is not otherwise identified as a bonus track."
A variant version owned by a comparatively small number of people does not displace the original, nor does it become the new standard for what constitutes "the real album." Many albums have multiple, canonically insignificant variants -- differing international tracklists, limited edition content, different tracklists for vinyl vs. CD/digital, different mixes, remixes, edited/censored versions, etc. This 25th anniversary vinyl-only reissue of Yield is likewise a variant, and should be treated as such.
I would think this would go without saying, but the infallible, irrefutable, seriously-KD-it-just-makes-such-an-incredible-amount-of-sense-I-can't-believe-no-one-ever-thought-to-put-it-in-these-terms-before principle upon which the EZ-ACIM is anchored assumes that the variation of the album being discussed is the most familiar, widely distributed, "standard" version of the album. But then, prior to the ongoing and completely unnecessary "Immortality"/"Stupid Mop" confusion, I would have assumed that the baseline criteria laid out by the EZ-ACIM went without saying as well, so this probably bears laying out here.
