I am sure it has been mentioned, but the album is now available for download on Itunes.


Also Mind Your Manners has gone back into the top 100 singles, and Sirens back into the top 50 on ITunes. Not sure that has any meaning whatsoever.

My fear is that PJ sees the mixed/lukewarm (almost No Code-esque) response to LB from the media and think "Oh well, I guess that's not what people really want from us. Let's go back to the Backspacer vibe. That got us a lot of rave reviews, a billboard top spot, and a big hit single!" Cringe cringe cringe

PJ - if you're out there - hear the message loud and clear. "Yes yes please please more of this... keep chasing that rabbit down this hole!"

LB sounds more BS to me than it does No Code.

There's nothing on LB to make you go "WTF?!" like say, "Who You Are" "In My Tree" "I'm Open" or "Smile."
(yes you go "WTF?!" after LTRP, SBM and FD but for totally different reasons).

PJ Different weird = good

PJ Different sappy keyboard folk songs/sitcom themes = bad

That is only really three songs on the album though. And the three WTF moments off of No Code you mentioned are some of the most beloved songs on that album. I'm Open, Habit, and Around the Bend are the shitty WTF moments for me on that album, and I am not sure I prefer them over the Lightning Bolt songs mentioned. Either way, No Code is a great album despite the moments where it goes to shit. The good is that good.

Pendulum is kind of a WTF moment, in a good way.

My favorite song on the album so far. I voted for Getaway because it seemed under represented, but Pendulum is really freaken good.
