Pretty hard, it turns out.

We were contracted for 50,000 words

The first draft was 95,000+ and it did NOT include Lost Dogs and most b-sides.

We ended up getting down to about 70,000. It is better for it.

A few RMers read chapters. Thanks McP, Kevin Davis, Strat, DcT, Brett, and 4/5 for your feedback. It definitely made it better

So funny story - this was supposed to come out now. It's been delayed (the publisher delayed most of their fall lineup due to paper shortages caused by the Ukraine invasion), and is now slated for an feb to april release. But we will probably need to delay it further so I can mainline the album and rush out a chapter in a week or two, and then back to what is hopefully a much more condensed editing and publication window.
