I don’t care what people say but Sirens is pretty great live. Especially the call and response outro can be pretty special. Wish they would have played it at least once on this last tour.

Sirens and Sleeping By Myself have always been my faves from Lightning Bolt.

I can totally rock with Sirens and SBM. SW on the other hand... song just has never clicked for me.

Truth be told, I'm an Infallible kinda guy. But I totally get why that's not everyone's jam.

Really, the album is unfairly maligned. There are some wonderful songs on the record despite some production issues.

Yellow Moons Bridge is one of the finer moments of this band entire career.

I wouldn't go that far, but it's probably my favourite moment on the album.

I've always liked Swallowed Whole live each time I've heard it, but SBM and Sirens can fade awaaayyyy...

Denial - “that’s not the new single, is it!?”

Anger - “I can’t believe they released this piece of garbage, this album sucks!”

Bargaining - “Well, at least we got 5-7 solid albums out of them”

Depression - “They are creatively bankrupt. We just have to understand we’re not getting another gem.”

Acceptance (10 years later): “This is an underrated gem!”

Jus to be fair for the record here though, I've always liked Lightning Bolt more than most. It's still PJ's second worst album, so let's not get anything twisted. But I have always (and still do) like it more than Backspacer.
