All of these movies do reshoots. It's built into their budget.
Crazy how many people care about this when they pretend to really not care about this.

But they're not built into the budgets. These aren't little pickups. They're likely extensive reshoots to make up for failures in filmmaking.

Re: Captain America: New World Order (7/26/24)
Reshoots are pretty common in this type of movies. Is this the case or are they building a different narrative for the upcoming movies? Not sure. With the editing on The Marvels and mid credits scene it might be the latter.BurtReynolds wrote:But they're not built into the budgets. These aren't little pickups. Re: Captain America: New World Order (7/26/24)
No, they are super uncommon especially on this scale. They are reshooting the entire movie because test audiences hated it. It's the worst movie ever made and now they have to reshoot it so it's better than The Marvels.VinylGuy wrote:Reshoots are pretty common in this type of movies. Re: Captain America: New World Order (7/26/24)
Reshoots are fairly common, but it's a matter of degree. The reshoots of something like The Marvels or Solo are not part of normal filmmaking at all, and this sounds like it might be the same thing.
I'm not even against reshoots. Whatever it takes to make a movie good is good to me. But it sounds like Disney is designing by committee and failing to fix the underlying problems that are causing their budgets to explode without any rise in quality.

Re: Captain America: New World Order (7/26/24)
Most people who don't work in the industry would be referencing Marvel and not Disney. But we're lucky enough to have someone here who works in the industry to make sure we're using all the right terms.
