Well in some way it is. You can adjust how much it assist you so that you don't have to pedal so much to get the bike moving, but there are also models that go 30mph and you don't have to pedal at all.

E bikes are definitely disrupting traffic patterns.

For example: The local busybody/real estate agent in our neighborhood can snoop around more effectively on her e bike. And I don’t see her walking her dog as often anymore.

Considering all the sugar and carbs we consume, I don’t think humans in 2023 can be expected to ride completely manual bikes anymore.

Yesterday saw someone on one of those nieghbourly sites selling one of those big-wheel drift trikes cheap. Thought it'd be great for the kids. Went to pick it up, and it's a lot bigger than I'd expected. My eldest daughter can barely reach the peddles. So now I have a drift trike

Well, they definitely work but my nose looked flared out for like an hour after taking it off. Not sure it's gonna be an every night thing.

Have either of you tried nose cones, e.g. AirMax or Max-Air? They say they're even better than strips:

while the strip works well for me, i've noticed it irritating the skin on my nose a bit. so purely from a vanity standpoint, going to give the cones a go tonight.

Saw this but forgot to answer. Which did you get and how has it been? I use Breathe Right at the moment but they're somewhat expensive on this part of the globe so I'd rather use something else. The problem is that I haven't found another nasal strip brand which would have the "spring" which to me is essential. I did try AirMax but somehow that irritated my sinuses.

There are trees that hang over part of my parking area that drip a lot of sap, which screwed up the rubber blades in mine. It was time to change them anyway, gotta keep them fresh for the wild thunderstorms that come through.

I did replace the back wiper for the first time in 6 years. It works amazing now.

The 3 other household members have decided we are getting a new cat/kitten today. I am fully against it and on the record as such. I don't want to deal with kitty litter again and I am very happy with the calm and quiet in the house after our last cat passed away all of a month ago. I'm really not happy about this.

Don't get me wrong, its just a cat and we were always going to get another one at some stage, but why the hell do we always have to do shit like this 'right now'. We always say yes to fucking everything and its getting me down to be honest. Its as if my wife and kids can't just leave space in our lives - we always seem to have to fill it with stuff. More and more stuff, and I'm not just talking about physical "stuff" either.

Me either - you guys are my therapists! And your and trag's reactions here have actually really helped me see that I'm not alone here and not somehow fucked in the head for thinking this way.
