the drumming in Daughter (studio) is peak Pearl Jam; we'll never hear that hi-hat / ride / ghost note work again

I love this album and it may be my favourite to sing at the top of my lungs

this album has many similar "anthems" to Ten but they're a little more sophisticated, grown-up

That’s because there is no double bass drum work. Dave never used double kicks.

Hey bud, hows it?
:bammer:

I remember doing a Vs. 10 year appreciation thread on the old board in 2003 so I thought, eh, I’ll give it another go. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago.
Time flies. Still killing it on the Iditarod?

I don't mean double kicks, I mean the action of quickly creating a "flam" from one pedal.. b-Bum b-Bum.. b-Bum b-Bum

it's something Dave A did a lot because he had a metalic sensibility and no other drummer has done since

We all get old. It sucks.

I feel a little less old when these bands keep making music and playing shows.
