Who sympathizes with Henry Hill?

It's more of a thing where you at least question whether you'd make the same or similar decisions if you were born into that time and place and found yourself in a similar situation. And Henry Hill at least questions some things and/or shows some remorse for his actions and those of his compadres. He is a much more (at least potentially) sympathetic character. It's completely obvious that you're not supposed to sympathize with Jordan Belfort. Anyone who does is a complete jackass.

That notion that you need to sympathize to a lead character to like a movie or a book is just ugh

While describing anything as "ugh" is in fact super ugh, I agree with TVG.

DiCaprio trying to get home after the ludes hit was hilarious. And since we are supposed to be laughing at him, it seems like your moralizing wouldn't interfere with the comedy here.

Fair Play.

Laughable bad. It goes from a nice premise and interesting idea and framing, photography to just plain awful. The acting really have some embarrassing moments specially Ehrenreich.

It was still fun to see this trainwreck.

The Covenant was really good. Obviously the subject matter is fairly harrowing, but it's beautifully shot and I loved the score.

Dar Salim steals the show, which is no small feat alongside Gyllenhaal, who has to be one of the most consistent actors around. The former had better take home an award or two.
