I always thought so as well. They seemed so happy during SVT. Like a band that had been through both great times and tough times, but finally found the right way to balance it out together.
Every time I listen to Wishlist, the E-bow argument from SVT pops up in my brain.

SG: I can't, I can't get to an E-bow... If you wanna do it...
EV: If I... I can get to an E-bow easier than... Easier than you can get to an E-bow?
SG: Well, I can't get to an E-bow coming out of a finger-picking part... 'Cause the first note is like on the one.
EV: [Looking at MM] Can you get to an E-bow?
MM: Um... I might be able to get to an E-bow... Possibly.
SG: It probably wouldn't... I mean... I... Whatever.
EV: I understand.

Then Wishlist performed on Letterman and missing the E-bow queue... Gold.

Ed: It was Stone’s fault.

[camera pans across the room]

Jeff: Wait! You and Stone argued? Where was I?

Ed: It was while we were recording No Code.

Jeff:

Ed:

Stone: Who wants breakfast?

Ditto. Loved it since the pre-album GTF single release. Love Leatherman too. I played that single SO many times before the album was released.

standout in the catalog, or even among Yield songs.

No Way and Pilate have improved greatly in my esteem in recent years once I got over the need for lyrics to be serious and written by Ed. They are fun songs with cool music.

How's this for a Hot Take: Given to Fly is the worst song on that single.
