I always thought so as well. They seemed so happy during SVT. Like a band that had been through both great times and tough times, but finally found the right way to balance it out together.

Every time I listen to Wishlist, the E-bow argument from SVT pops up in my brain.

No Way and Pilate have improved greatly in my esteem in recent years once I got over the need for lyrics to be serious and written by Ed. They are fun songs with cool music.
