That one was lights out amazing. SO good. Fet like Nate wrote that skit as it was similar to his standup humor.

The Foos actually sound better on SNL than on their albums.
Also, Freese will improve the live setting for sure.

Just caught Nate Bargatze's stand-up monologue on YouTube. That was very funny. Great job, Nate.

Re: Saturday Night Live
I just saw that Timothée Chalamet is hosting on Nov 11th. But I thought they couldn't get any actual actors to host because of the SAG strike... so.... ?

I believe SAG actors can host or act on SNL because it falls within the variety/late night code if they're not promoting a movie/tv show.epilogue wrote:I just saw that Timothée Chalamet is hosting on Nov 11th. Thanks for this. That makes sense. I suppose there won't be any Dune sketches then?

Re: Saturday Night Live
Honestly I only have a passing knowledge of Bargatze but I thought he did alright as the host. He was the main character of Revolutionary weights & measures; the only sketch I think played that role? And it was a great sketch, maybe one that would make a season “best of”.
Overall it was the best of the first three episodes to start off. I liked Lake Beach and the SAG Halloween sketches and Update was pretty good too.

Re: Saturday Night Live
Pretty good Fly episode. Carvey stayed quiet most of the time. Sounds like Spade and Bargatze are kinda buds and they talked more about the mechanics of everything from standup to being on SNL.

I’m didn’t care for Mikey Day’s Biden. Not sure who else could play him better; JAJ will be occupied with Trump this season. I like Day as a supporting cast member or “average guy” sketch player but not as an impressionist.
