The MAGA/Taylor Swift conspiracy has me thinking… what is it about the American right that is so comfortable with conspiracies? Does anyone have any MAGA/Q people in their lives who they’ve talked to? My cousin is apparently spouting Taylor Swift conspiracies… I’d ask him about it but I’m afraid I’ll get an earful of craziness.

I don't think it's "comfort" per se. I think it's feeling so disenfranchised from the model of success that's shoved down their gullet every day that they start looking for alternate narratives that explain how they got left in the economic dust.*

*Obviously there are lots of comfortable/wealth MAGAs. My hunch here is that they believe the narrative that the Dems are going to disband the system that lead to their success, that they wish to see bestowed upon others.
