I gotta give it to them, they’re fucking jamming. Other than Axl’s voice. I would’ve loved to see AIC/GNR

Skipped the sushi (thankfully - my buddy was all hyped up about it, but relented this morning and we decided to head home around 10:30)

Been planning the pre-Xmas holiday with the wiffey the last few nights. Heading to Melbourne on the 9th December, hiring a car and bugging straight out. Gonna do the Mornington Peninsular, the Bass Coast, Wilson's Promontory and Gippsland, all the way to Mallacootta, where I am gonna catch a big dog Flatty! Then back to Melbourne for Xmas day itself and back home from there.

Looking forward to it already.

You on Bainbridge? My in-laws were there for a couple years, loved it. I had friends in Orcas and that was cool but definitely more remote hippy

Here's a good tip: turn your VPN on to a location in Europe when you're browsing booking sites. They apparently have to display the full price there, instead of a base price upon which taxes and fees are then added. Nearly every hotel seems to have decided they are a resort that needs to add resort fees to their price, and if not that some cleaning fee or something. All that gets totalled up beforehand in Europe, much more reasonable. And easier to make ends of what is within my budget

Even better, I just booked three nights at a hotel on booking.com that they wanted $325 for with my VPN turned off. But I just turned the VPN on to a location in Dublin and refreshed the page and the price dropped to $295. Good deal, wild stuff

i've packed a copy of my kid's birth cert in case of child trafficking suspicions. additionally, i have a notarized letter signed by wife stating we are not leaving the country without her knowledge, in case of kidnapping suspicions. these are both recommended international travel tips for dads traveling with their kids in 2023. :|
